Actian Btrieve 12 Limited Distribution License - 1000 Count, Windows

Btrieve 12 Deployment Packs may be used to deploy multiple User Counts from 1 to 1000.
Internet access and registration may be required for product authorization or license distribution of Deployment Pack licenses.

Btrieve 12 requires a minimum of a 1-user license for every installation. Systems enabling access by more than one user require licensing for the appropriate number of concurrent users. Some examples are:
a. Five copies of Btrieve 12 installed means a minimum of five 1-user licenses.
b. Five Btrieve 12 installations connecting to another machine acting as a server and supporting 5 concurrent users means five 1-user licenses and one 5-user license.

Btrieve 6.15 Compatible
Btrieve 12 is file format and API compatible with Btrieve 6.15. Your Btrieve 6.15 application can run with no changes on Btrieve 12. No need to recompile code or rebuild file formats (unless you are currently writing to 5.x files - Btrieve 12 writes to only 6.x files).

•Simplified Settings
Btrieve 6.15 provided many settings to handle restrictions on memory and other systems resources that were common when Btrieve 6.15 was released. Btrieve 12 takes advantage of the increased capacity of modern operating systems and hardware by simplifying resource settings. You no longer need to micromanage use of resources.

•New Licensing
Btrieve 12 is licensed with a Limited Distribution License (LDL). A Btrieve 12 LDL allows the holder to create and deploy licenses totaling 1000 users.
